Cozy Cardigan

Bobeau Cardigan c/o, Old Navy jeans, Old Navy tee, Old Navy booties, P&P fedora, JustFab tote, Ann Taylor necklace

November really snuck up on me this year! October was a blur, and now we’re literally only 40 days away from our wedding! Each week is flashing by, and I’m left with vague recollections of going to work, taking exams, and some wedding planning in between. As the day is getting closer, the to-do lists are growing longer. During these busy days, I’ve been drawn to casual and neutral outfits with pops of fall colors like burgundy or caramel. Enter this all black outfit with an easy burst of burgundy to celebrate the beautiful Fall I’ve been experiencing here in Chicago.

This outfit is literally jeans and a tee. But with this stripe blanket cardigan from Bobeau Collection, the whole look becomes effortlessly chic while still being comfortable enough to transition between the library, wedding planning, and taking a Netflix break. I love that even though the cardigan is a neutral color, the stripe-textured fabric adds interest without being distracting. I especially am so happy with the way the sweater is so flattering, because I always struggle with finding an oversized cardigan that doesn’t drown me in fabric! It’s the perfect balance of oversized and figure flattering. I’m travelling for Thanksgiving next week, and I think this would be a perfect travel outfit, too, since the cardigan can double as a blanket!

I’ve been so excited to experience fall this year! But it’s ending as quickly as it started since this weekend’s weather forecast is predicting snow! Not sure if I’m totally ready for a real winter. I've basically been stalking blogs like this one to get some winter wardrobe ideas. I'm definitely planning to stock up on some good basics to make sure I can layer my way through the freezing temperatures coming up!
