Recently, I've been obsessed with building a capsule wardrobe-- a closet full of pieces that all work effortlessly with each other. With a much smaller closet and a lot less time to spend on getting ready (aka I prioritized sleep over showering), paring down my wardrobe has become almost necessary. It has actually made my mornings so much easier, and I love that I don't have to think about what to wear too much. Of course, you'll still hear me saying "I have nothing to wear!!" pretty much on a daily basis (Aamir can attest to that).

During this process of really fine tuning my closet, I realized that there are some pieces that I continuously gravitate toward no matter what. A few that have proven to be extremely versatile are this striped blouse, draped lapel jacket, and blush flats. When I don't know what to wear, I almost always reach for this top. It's made of a flowy crepe material, so it falls really nicely and makes the "jeans and a t-shirt" look a bit more put together. I love that I can wear it with a basic pair of jeans or pair it with a jacket or blazer for work and presentations. I'm planning to pair it with a maxi skirt this summer, too (if summer ever shows up!).

I've had this jacket from Ruche for a couple years now, and it has really become a staple in my wardrobe. I love that it has lasted so long! The fit is great, and I can't get enough of the waterfall draped front. It makes the (faux) leather jacket look a little less edgy and a bit more feminine. I love to throw it on over a basic tee to bring the whole look together without really even trying.

These shoes are one of my favorite designer dupes. The color, style, and comfort level work for basically any season, and the blush surprisingly styles well with a lot of colors. They're the perfect way to elevate the "everyday" flat. They're available in so many different colors too, but my favorite is definitely this gorgeous blush tone.

I am really looking forward to the next few weeks for so many reasons. I just finished my first year of my MBA, so my summer has officially begun! My birthday is coming up, my sister and in-laws are coming to visit, and there's a little vacation planned at the end. It's a good thing the semester just ended so I have some time to catch up on everything before all the fun begins!
