Emerald Pleated Peplum Blouse

Banana Republic Blouse, Old Navy Jeans, Sam Edelman Pumps, Jimmy Choo Bag (similar here)

If I had known how much I would love this pleated peplum top when I first ordered it, I would have gotten it in every color available. Of course, now it's sold out. I love the beautiful emerald color and how easily it can be paired with basically any color pants! I paired it with black skinny jeans and black accessories (and a leather jacket not pictured here) for a fun night out with my family over the summer. For a casual night out, it totally worked with blue jeans and cute flats. And, it looks great paired with white pants and nude accessories for a daytime look, too! Now that it's finally fall, I love how seamlessly the jewel tone emerald green will transition into the cooler months.

This week, the single most important thing I'm going to do is mail in our applications for absentee ballots. Initially, we thought we'd let it go--we are registered to vote in California and it was "too much work" to figure out how to vote from Illinois. But as this election cycle has progressed, it has become more and more evident every single day how impactful the result of the 2016 Presidential Election will be. We knew our passive attitudes had to go and that we couldn't let our votes go to waste. This election is crucial, and now that I am able to finally recognize the importance of my voice and comprehend how much all of our futures will be affected through this election, I don't want to lose our chance to make our votes count. I encourage you all to do the same!

Head over to vote.org and make your voice count. The deadline to register for some states is today, so make sure to register ASAP!
