The second I saw this skirt through the window, I knew it was coming home with me. Honestly, I was so in love with it that I don't think I even tried it on, and I literally don't remember what boutique I got it from! It was exactly what I was looking for to wear to my bridal shower last year and the timing couldn't have been more perfect. The bold floral print, the full length, and the vibrant colors--this is what skirt dreams are made of.

This summer I had the chance to wear the skirt again to a yacht party on Memorial Day Weekend. Since I had paired it with a bright strawberry colored top during my bridal shower, I decided to pair it with lots of blush pink the second time around. The blouse and the accessories (necklace, bag, and shoes) are all light pink!

It's hard to believe my bridal shower was almost exactly a year ago. In fact, I moved to Chicago two days after the shower, and it's crazy to think I've already been here for a year and finished one whole year of my MBA. This week marks the start of my second (and final) year of MBA School! We'll also have been married for 8 months (what!?) on Friday. Anyone else feel like time starts to move faster and faster as you get older?

I was in California for the last two weeks savoring what was left of summer before getting thrown into the chaos of grad school again. During this trip I realized how lucky I am to have not one, but two wonderful homes and families in Cali. It was such a good feeling to be with family and friends, and so incredibly difficult to leave. At the same time, it's good to be back in Chicago to the new home that Aamir and I have here together where we pretend to be adults but actually eat popcorn for dinner and procrastinate on laundry until the last minute ;) Just kidding. Sort of ;)
